$100 Oil Prices Send U.S. Refiners Soaring
International oil prices have surpassed $100 per barrel for the first time in over four months due to concerns about disruptions in crude oil transport and the prospect of a prolonged war in the Middle East.
The stock prices of major U.S. refineries, such as HF Sinclair, Marathon Petroleum, Ballero Energy, and Phillips 66, have risen sharply as they benefit directly from rising international oil prices.
U.S. refiners make their core revenue by refining crude oil sourced from outside sources, so when oil prices rise, their refining margins increase significantly.
