$24b LNG Project Rising from Louisiana Swamp
Woodside Energy's $24 billion gamble on the Deep South is taking shape in Louisiana. The site, spanning over 445 hectares, is home to massive concrete tanks and a maze of metal that will eventually liquefy gas for export.
As construction crews work around the clock, mobile cranes and excavators churn across the former swamp. Meanwhile, yellow school buses continuously transport workers between sheds, lunch tents, and the vast site.
The project is Woodside's largest global bet, with a massive price tag of $24 billion.
