$4,300 Gold Stabilizes Amid Stronger Dollar, Rising Oil Prices
Gold prices held steady at around $4,300 per ounce after hitting a two-week low due to a stronger US dollar and higher Treasury yields.
The US dollar index remained firm, heading back towards the 100 mark, which typically puts pressure on gold prices as it makes dollar-denominated bullion more expensive for holders of other currencies.
Middle East tensions lifted crude oil prices, with Brent crude futures rising around 0.5 per cent to trade close to $96 a barrel and WTI crude futures gaining over 1 per cent to $91.23 a barrel.
Markets await US jobs data due later this week, which could provide fresh clues about the health of the world's largest economy and influence expectations for the Federal Reserve's monetary policy path.
