Abu Qir Petroleum Maintains Oil Output Amid Optimism
Abu Qir Petroleum Company (AQC), a joint venture between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Energean, has maintained average oil production at around 27,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in fiscal year (FY) 2025/26.
This stability was achieved through debottlenecking and production optimization efforts, according to the company's general assembly results.
AQC also reported a zero lost-time injury frequency rate (LTIFR) during FY 2025/26, while advancing new exploration opportunities across its concession areas and working to accelerate the development of discoveries.
Energean CEO Mathios Rigas praised AQC's performance, highlighting opportunities to increase oil and gas production through further investment, technology deployment, and innovative solutions.
