Abuja Petrol Prices Hit N1,300 Per Litre Amid Dangote Price Hike
Despite a decline in international crude oil prices, petrol pump prices have surged to N1,300 per litre in Abuja. The increase is attributed to Dangote Refinery's hike in its gantry price from N1,165 per litre to N1,265 over the past week.
The latest adjustment represents a N65 per litre increase from the previous gantry price of N1,200. Several filling stations have reflected this change in their pump prices, with motorists paying more for petrol.
An economist, Samson Ogunjimi, expressed concern over the growing financial pressure on livelihoods caused by soaring fuel prices. He called on the Federal Government to intervene and stabilise fuel prices to ease the economic burden on Nigerians.
