Nigeria's crude oil production is expected to surge under an Accord presidency led by Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim. The candidate has pledged to raise daily production from around 1.5 million barrels to a minimum of four million within 24 months.

The plan hinges on reviving approximately 3,000 non-producing oil wells currently in existence but not being utilized. Hashim's strategy involves an investment program to restore these assets and bring them back into operation.

'We have oil wells that have already been drilled, assets that have already been discovered, and infrastructure that has already been built,' he explained. 'Our first task is to put these assets back to work for Nigeria.'
