ADNOC Keeps LNG Flows Open Amid Regional Tensions
ADNOC continues to load liquefied natural gas (LNG) at its Das Island terminal in the Persian Gulf, despite recent U.S.-Iran strikes. According to a report cited by OilPrice.com, one tanker was docked at the terminal on September 2, with another nearby operating without transponders.
The Emirati energy company has employed ship-to-ship transfers outside the Strait of Hormuz to secure LNG exports. ADNOC has been affected by the closure of the chokepoint and has accelerated plans to expand a pipeline that bypasses it. The company is also building a new pipeline to Fujairah, which will double capacity by next year.
A Bloomberg report suggests that LNG flows from the Persian Gulf have largely halted due to regional tensions. ADNOC has warned that the war's impact on energy supply could extend into 2027.
