'Adriano Knutsen' Delivers LNG at Reganosa Amid Growing Demand

The Spanish LNG carrier 'Adriano Knutsen' has successfully docked at the Reganosa terminal in Mugardos, A Coruña, to unload 75,000 tons of liquefied natural gas.

The vessel, built for Knutsen OAS Shipping, is a third-generation LNG carrier with GTT Mark III Flex technology and measures 300m in length, 48m in width. It has the capacity to transport 180,000 cubic meters of gas and features a reliquefaction system on board.

Reganosa is part of Endesa's natural gas supply chain, which was secured through a 2014 deal with Cheniere Energy for two million cubic meters of natural gas annually over twenty years from the Corpus Christi terminal in Texas. The charter contract for 'Adriano Knutsen' amounts to around $25 million per year, while its construction cost is approximately $185 million.

The vessel's arrival marks a significant milestone in Endesa and Enel's efforts to secure their maritime transport needs for natural gas over the coming years, with up to twelve transatlantic trips possible each year from the Corpus Christi terminal.
