Aemetis Sees Revenue Surge on Tax Credits
Aemetis (NASDAQ: AMTX) reported its Q2 2026 earnings, showing revenue of $62.7 million, up 20% from last year's $52.2 million.
The company attributed the increase to Section 45Z tax credits, which accounted for approximately 14% of reported quarterly revenue. These credits were significant in California Ethanol and Dairy RNG segments, along with higher ethanol and RNG volumes.
Aemetis saw its gross profit reach $13.5 million, improving from a loss of $3.4 million last year. The company's operating income turned positive at $5.8 million, thanks to tax credits and lower delivered corn costs.
However, the company still reported a net loss of $9.4 million due to high interest expense. Aemetis ended the quarter with $1.0 million in cash, compared to $415.0 million of current liabilities.
