The CEO of Ghana National Gas Company Limited, Judith Adjobah Blay, emphasized the need for increased investment in gas infrastructure across Africa. Speaking at Africa Oil Week 2023, she noted that while the continent has sufficient natural gas resources, inadequate infrastructure hinders its ability to fully utilize these resources and strengthen energy security.

Blay stated that developing midstream gas infrastructure is crucial to bridging the gap between gas supply and demand, as well as enhancing the efficiency and resilience of Africa's energy value chain. She added that investing in gas infrastructure will be essential for Ghana's energy security and industrialization agenda.
