Agricultural Commodity Prices See Significant Movements on September 1
The Chicago Board of Trade saw significant price movements in various agricultural commodities on Tuesday, September 1. Corn futures surged, with December contracts rising by 7 cents to $5.45 per bushel and March contracts increasing by 7 cents to $5.59 per bushel.
Soybean futures also experienced gains, with November contracts up 30 cents at $13.18 per bushel and January contracts increasing by 30 cents to $13.33 per bushel.
Wheat futures rose as well, with December contracts gaining 7 cents to $7.81 per bushel and March contracts increasing by 8 cents to $7.96 per bushel.
On the other hand, live cattle futures declined, with October contracts down 27 cents at $212.40 per hundredweight and December contracts decreasing by 87 cents to $213.70 per hundredweight.
The Ontario Pork Reports stated that the U-S CME price for pork is $90.57 per hundredweight, dressed weight, which represents a decline of $0.61 from the previous day's price.
