Agritech Resumes Urea Production After Gas Supply Restored

Agritech Limited has resumed production at its urea plant after Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited restored gas supply, ending the latest disruption that had forced the fertilizer manufacturer to halt operations.

The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange on August 17 that gas supply from SNGPL had been restored and that its urea plant had consequently resumed production.

This is not the first interruption faced by Agritech this year. In March, the company suspended urea production after SNGPL halted re-gasified liquefied natural gas deliveries following a potential force majeure event declared by an LNG supplier amid disruptions caused by the war in the Middle East.
