AgroFoodSummit 2026 to Address Shifting Trade Flows and Geopolitical Risks
The AgroFoodSummit 2026 will take place in Mersin, Turkey, from September 24-25. The summit is organized by the Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA) and aims to bring together over 300 companies from more than 25 countries.
The event's central theme is the changes in global agricultural markets for the 2026/27 season. Participants will discuss shifting trade flows, competition for key buyers, logistics, and the impact of geopolitics on trade.
A key topic at the summit will be the grain market. Global grain production is expected to reach one of the highest levels in history, but ample supply no longer guarantees stable trade. Risks in the Black Sea region, grain origin, supply routes, logistics costs, and sellers' ability to fulfill contracts are playing an increasingly important role.
A separate area of competition is emerging in the durum wheat and processed products market. The situation in the pulses market is also different, with some countries experiencing harvests falling short of expectations while others become increasingly dependent on imports.
