World markets are seeing a decline in shares as investors sell off artificial intelligence-related stocks. This comes on the heels of recent volatility, where company shares have skyrocketed but confidence has waned in near-term payoffs.
The S&P 500 futures were relatively unchanged, while those for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1%. Nasdaq futures declined 0.1%.
Oracle shares slipped more than 1%, and Marvell Technology and Intel both fell nearly 2%. Micron Technology dipped 1%
The conflict over the Strait of Hormuz continues to drive up crude prices, with Brent crude rising 1% to $91.91 per barrel and U.S. benchmark crude oil increasing 1.1% to $84.99 per barrel.
