Ajeel Oil Field Contract Signed for 25-Year Development
Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi presided over the signing of a contract between the North Oil Company and KEPT to develop and operate the Ajeel Oil Field. The agreement aims to increase production at the field, with gas output expected to rise from approximately 135 million standard cubic feet per day to 300 million standard cubic feet per day.
The oil production is also expected to increase, from 30,000 barrels per day to 40,000 barrels per day. The contract is for a period of 25 years and is part of the Ministry of Oil's efforts to maximize the utilization of hydrocarbon resources.
