Alamos Gold Sees Revenue Surge Amid Soaring Gold Price
Alamos Gold Inc. (AGI) has benefited from the strong gold price in 2026, with its second-quarter results showing a significant increase in revenue and net earnings.
The company's revenue rose by about 36% year over year to US$594.1 million, driven by a higher realised gold price even as production slipped. Net Earnings came in at US$270.4 million, or US$0.64 per share, with adjusted net earnings of US$247.6 million, or US$0.59 per share.
Alamos operates a portfolio of long-life assets, anchored by its Island Gold District in Ontario and the Young-Davidson mine in Canada, as well as the Mulatos district in Mexico. Its combination of Canadian and Mexican production, plus a pipeline of growth projects, is central to the Investment case.
The company declared a quarterly Dividend of US$0.04 per share in late August and announced a board change at the end of the month. Alamos continues to advance the Island Gold District shaft and Magino mill expansions, as well as other growth initiatives, with commissioning targeted for 2027 and 2028.
