Alaska Village Sees Gas Prices Soar to $26.82 Per Gallon Amid Iran War Disruptions

The remote village of Shungnak in Alaska's Northwest Arctic Borough has seen gasoline prices skyrocket to $26.82 per gallon, making it one of the highest in the region. According to store manager Glenda Douglas, the price jumped from $13.99 just yesterday.

The extreme price hike is due to a combination of factors, including low water levels that prevented barges from reaching the village, forcing gasoline to be flown in at an increased cost.

Michael Ryan, a finance expert and founder of MichaelRyanMoney.com, attributed the surge in oil prices to the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, which has disrupted global energy markets.
