Albania Terminal Could Bring More US LNG to Western Balkans
Argent LNG is expanding its strategy in the Adriatic region by partnering on a 5 Mt/y (million tonnes per year) liquefied natural gas import terminal in Albania. This terminal could provide an additional route for US supply into the Western Balkans.
The new terminal aims to have a capacity of 5 Mt/y, which is a significant investment in the region's energy infrastructure.
Argent LNG has secured its fourth European partner for this project, but details about the partners' identities remain undisclosed. The company's strategy in the Adriatic region is focused on providing access to US liquefied natural gas supplies for countries in Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans.
