The Alexandre de Gusmão FPSO has reached peak production at 180,000 barrels of oil per day in the Mero field of Brazil's Santos Basin.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Petrobras, which operates the field in partnership with Shell Brasil, TotalEnergies, CNPC, CNOOC, and Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA).

The FPSO is chartered from SBM Offshore and initially plans to connect to 12 wells, of which five oil producers and three injectors are already connected.

Petrobras' Exploration and Production Director, Sylvia Anjos, highlighted the importance of this achievement: 'The Mero asset had an average production of approximately 740 mbpd in the second quarter of 2026, even before the top of the Alexandre de Gusmão.'
