Allmendinger Punches Above Weight with Top-Ten Finish at Iowa Speedway

AJ Allmendinger delivered a timely top-10 finish at Iowa Speedway on Sunday, driving his No. 16 Camper Inn RV Chevrolet to eighth place in the NASCAR Cup Series Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol.

Allmendinger overcame a 25th-place starting position and battled handling issues throughout the race, but ultimately recorded his best oval finish since September 2025 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway.

The Kaulig Racing team has been operating without manufacturer support in the Cup Series this season after deciding to field five Ram trucks in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

Allmendinger acknowledged that it was a good day for his No. 16 Campers Inn RV team, stating 'I felt like we executed as good as we could and got everything we could out of it.'
