Allseas Wins Contract for Final Section of Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Pipeline

Western LNG has awarded Allseas the contract to lay the final 50 kilometers of its Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline. The subsea section will connect the main onshore transmission network to the planned Ksi Lisims floating liquefied natural gas export facility.

The pipeline, stretching 700 kilometers from interior production fields to the export terminal, is a critical component of Canada's energy export infrastructure. Allseas will deploy its pipelay vessels Solitaire and Sandpiper to execute the installation in waters near the Alaska border.

Operations are scheduled to begin in 2029 and will involve managing complex marine engineering challenges, including multiple shore pull-ins and tie-ins, as well as stabilizing the pipeline against strong coastal currents. Western LNG selected Allseas due to its experience with subsea installations under harsh offshore conditions.
