Amapetco Hits 8,000 Boe/D Output Milestone with $13.4M Investments
Amapetco, a joint venture between Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Cheiron, has achieved significant milestones in its FY2025/26 performance. The company produced 8,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) and logged 11.8 million safe working hours. Amapetco also invested $13.4 million during the fiscal year.
According to Chairman Mohamed El-Shabassy, the company is focusing on reducing per-barrel costs and advancing new and renewable energy projects. Studies are underway for several locations to develop and explore oil fields in the concession area.
