Ambuja Expands Capacity with ₹333 Crore Corn Wet Milling Plant
Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd is expanding its operations in Hubli, Karnataka. The company will invest ₹333 crore to set up an 850 TPD corn wet milling plant at the location. This investment comes from internal accruals and is subject to regulatory approvals.
The new facility is expected to be commissioned by Q4 FY29 and will be built adjacent to the company's existing 750 TPD corn wet milling plant in Hubli.
With this expansion, the proposed plant will have a capacity to manufacture 400 tonnes per day of corn starch, 150 tonnes per day of sweeteners, and 300 tonnes per day of feed ingredients. The total manufacturing capacity at the Hubli unit will increase to 1,600 TPD, including 700 TPD of corn starch, 400 TPD of sweeteners and derivatives, and 500 TPD of feed ingredients.
Gujarat Ambuja Exports currently has a total corn wet milling capacity of 5,600 TPD. The company plans to increase this capacity to 9,000 TPD by 2030.
