AMPO POYAM Valves Lands Massive Order for Qatar LNG Project
AMPO POYAM Valves has secured a massive order to supply over 5,550 engineered valves for Qatar's North Field South (NFS) onshore liquefied natural gas facilities project in Ras Laffan. The company will provide both cryogenic and non-cryogenic valves for the large-scale LNG development being carried out by QatarEnergy LNG.
The project involves the construction of two new LNG production trains, each with a capacity of 8 million tonnes per annum. Additionally, it includes gas treatment facilities, natural gas liquids recovery units, helium extraction and refining facilities, and a carbon capture and sequestration system with a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum.
The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 25% compared to similar LNG facilities. AMPO POYAM Valves will supply gate, globe, and check valves for different services across the facilities, including large-sized and high-pressure equipment designed for demanding operating conditions.
