Andina Copper Stock Surges on Record Copper Prices and Impressive Drilling Results
Andina Copper Corporation (TSXV:ANDC) saw its stock rise by 8.33% on September 8, 2026, as investors continue to show interest in the company's copper exploration projects.
The significant gain comes at a time when the underlying copper market is experiencing a powerful rally, with benchmark three-month copper prices recently reaching a record US$14,533 per tonne.
Andina's Cobrasco Project in Colombia has been delivering impressive drilling results, including 206 metres grading 0.67% copper from 32 metres within a broader 400-metre interval grading 0.46% copper, and 264 metres grading 0.63% copper from 36 metres within 504 metres grading 0.48% copper.
The company's Piuquenes Project in Argentina is also showing promise, with encouraging copper-gold results from initial drilling at Piuquenes North, including a July result of 164 metres at 0.70% copper and 0.44 g/t gold within 468 metres at 0.50% copper and 0.30 g/t gold.
With a strengthened financial position after completing concurrent financings totalling approximately C$27.5 million earlier in 2026, Andina is well-equipped to continue its exploration activities and potentially convert its current discoveries into larger and better-defined mineral resources.
