Anglo Teck Leadership Team Takes Shape Ahead of Merger Completion
Teck Resources and Anglo American have formed the leadership team for their combined company, Anglo Teck. The new company will be led by Duncan Wanblad, who will serve as chief executive. Jonathan Price, CEO of Teck, will take on a deputy chief executive role and become chief strategy officer.
The leadership team combines executives from both companies, with John Heasley continuing as chief financial officer and Ruben Fernandes maintaining his position as chief operating officer. The regional leadership structure includes Brock Gill as chief executive for Canada and US operations, Tony Power leading Peru, Ana Sanches overseeing Brazil, Dale Webb managing Chile, and Mpumi Zikalala heading Kumba Iron Ore.
The merged company aims to create a global metals and minerals powerhouse with over 70% exposure to copper. Anglo Teck is set to become one of the world's largest copper producers, combining operations including copper assets alongside iron ore and zinc businesses.
