Angola's Oil and Gas Industry Shifts Gears with New Investment Cycle
Angola's oil and gas industry is entering a new investment cycle as deepwater projects, gas commercialization, exploration programs, and independent operators reshape one of Africa's biggest upstream markets.
Energy intelligence company Welligence has joined the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2026 Conference and Exhibition as an Associate Sponsor. The company tracks reserves, production, project economics, mergers and acquisitions, and emerging upstream opportunities using its data-driven platform that contains more than 4,000 asset-level reports and information covering around 40,000 M&A transactions.
The start of Angola's first non-associated gas project is expected to provide additional feedstock for Angola LNG. This development has strengthened momentum towards gas commercialization and its potential role in future upstream investment.
