ANP Grants Petrobras Permission to Import Up to 24.34 Million Cubic Meters of LNG Annually
The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has granted Petrobras permission to import up to 24.34 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually.
The authorization allows Petrobras to receive shipments at the Guanabara Bay LNG Maritime Terminal in Rio de Janeiro or at the Bahia LNG Maritime Terminal in Salvador, primarily for thermal power generation.
The license will be valid for two years starting from December 13, 2026, and requires Petrobras to fulfill reporting obligations with the regulator.
