Ansarallah Targets Saudi Interests in Coordinated Missile and Drone Strikes
Yemeni forces affiliated with Ansarallah have launched a series of attacks against Saudi interests, targeting a Saudi oil tanker and military positions. The ballistic missile strike on the Amzan oil tanker off the coast of Yanbu caused a fire and forced several other ships to flee the area.
The operation was part of an ongoing campaign by Ansarallah to enforce its 'blockade for blockade' policy, which aims to restrict Saudi maritime traffic in response to Riyadh's own blockade of Yemeni ports. The strike on the oil tanker was a direct attack on Saudi Arabia's economic interests and a demonstration of Ansarallah's capabilities.
The group also announced attacks against Saudi military convoys and positions using ballistic missiles and drones, targeting equipment being transported from Saudi Arabia to Yemen. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, Ansarallah's spokesperson, warned that further escalation by Riyadh would be met with 'stronger and more severe strikes'.
