Antofagasta Copper Output Forecast Revised Amid Project Progress and Weather-Related Disruptions
Antofagasta plc (ANTO), a FTSE 100-listed copper mining company, reported its half-year financial results for the period ending June 30, 2026. The company's EBITDA surged by 27% to $2,840.5 million, while revenue climbed 18% to $4,479.0 million.
The increase in revenue was driven primarily by a 36% year-on-year rise in the Group's average realised copper price, which climbed to $6.19 per pound. Prices for by-products also improved significantly, with gold increasing 46% to $4,772 per ounce and molybdenum rising 55% to $32.6 per pound.
However, net cash costs decreased only 8% year-on-year to $1.22 per pound due to lower sales volumes of copper and by-products.
