Aramco and Sonatrach Boost LPG Prices Amid Global Demand Surge

Saudi Aramco, the state oil producer of Saudi Arabia, has increased its official selling prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by between 1% and 3% for September. This move is attributed to higher demand on global markets.

The price hike applies to propane and butane, two types of LPG with different boiling points. Propane prices have increased by $5 per metric ton to $625 a ton, while butane prices have risen by $20 a ton to $660 per ton.

In contrast, Algeria's state oil company Sonatrach has raised its LPG prices for September by between 4% and 7%. Sonatrach's propane OSP has increased by $20 a ton to $560, while butane prices have risen by $40 a ton to $610.
