Aramco Beats Supply Constraints with Operational Resilience
Aramco reported total hydrocarbon production of 9.5 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in the second quarter, despite 'historical supply constraints' affecting energy markets.
The company achieved this result by adapting to changing market conditions and leveraging its operational and technical capabilities, as well as robust contingency planning.
Aramco's upstream adjusted EBIT came in at $50.9 billion in the second quarter, a decrease from the first quarter's $54.1 billion due to lower volumes sold of crude oil and higher production royalties.
The company advanced several 'increment projects' during the quarter to maintain its maximum sustainable capacity (MSC) at 12 million barrels per day.
