Aramco Cashes In on Oil Price Surge Amid US-Iran Conflict
Saudi energy giant Aramco has reported a significant increase in its second-quarter net income, driven by the ongoing US-Iran conflict and subsequent rise in global oil prices. The company's net income reached $32.7 billion in the second quarter, up 44% from $22.67 billion in the same period last year.
The geopolitical tensions have disrupted regional supply chains, benefiting Aramco due to its diverse asset base. Despite challenging regional conditions, Aramco President and Chief Executive Officer Amin H. Nasser stated that the firm maintained business continuity and sustained production.
Aramco's net income for the first half of the year also reached $65.2 billion, a notable increase from $48.68 billion in the same period last year. The unprecedented supply disruption has defined Aramco's performance during the first six months, according to Nasser.
