Aramco Defies Conflict, Reports $33.4B Net Income Amid War-Driven Oil Price Surge
Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil producer, posted robust profits despite the ongoing Iran conflict, which has disrupted global energy markets. The state-owned company reported adjusted net income of $33.4 billion for the second quarter of 2026, with cash flow from operating activities totaling $25.4 billion and free cash flow reaching $12.3 billion.
Aramco's earnings were supported by a sharp surge in global oil prices, which more than offset the decline in export volumes. The company redirected its exports through an alternative pipeline route to minimize disruptions, allowing it to maintain supply commitments to customers worldwide.
Other major oil companies also reported strong profits, with ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Shell benefiting from elevated oil prices and stronger refining margins. Analysts attribute the price surge to increased demand for alternatives to Middle Eastern crude due to concerns over supply disruptions.
