Aramco Defies Geopolitical Turmoil with 44% Profit Surge
Saudi Aramco's quarterly profits surged by 44% despite the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, according to recent reports. The increase was driven by higher crude oil prices and improved refining and trading margins following disruptions in energy markets.
The region has been on edge since the Iran-Israel conflict and US military strikes, which threatened global energy supplies and pushed oil prices higher. However, despite fears of disrupted exports through the Strait of Hormuz, major producers like Aramco have managed to capitalize on elevated prices.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran is committed to defending its territory but has no intention of broadening the conflict. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed that talks with Iran were underway, although Iranian officials dismissed this statement as untrue.
