Aramco Delays Jazan Refinery Restart After Fire
Saudi Aramco has delayed the restart of its Jazan oil refinery by about two weeks, according to an alert from industry monitor IIR. The refinery's tentative restart had been scheduled for August 16, but it will now begin operations on August 30.
The delay comes after a fire broke out at a facility belonging to the refinery early Sunday morning. Saudi Arabia's energy ministry confirmed that Aramco's industrial firefighting teams successfully extinguished the blaze, but did not provide any further information about the plant's operations.
