Aramco Seeks Lucrative Sponsorship Deal with FIFA
Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil giant Aramco is reportedly close to securing a major sponsorship deal with FIFA, according to sources. The agreement, which could run until 2034, would make Aramco the oil company's biggest-paying sponsor.
The estimated annual value of the deal is $100 million, making it one of the most significant sports sponsorships in history. Aramco already has major sponsorship deals with Formula 1 and the women's golf circuit, as well as with the International Cricket Council for the Cricket World Cup and the Indian Premier League.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was confirmed as the sole bidder for the FIFA World Cup in 2034, further solidifying its bid. Aramco declined to comment on the report, while FIFA stated that it does not confirm or deny commercial discussions. The talks are reportedly at an advanced stage, with sources indicating that a deal is imminent.
