Argent Cranks Up Kempfield Silver Project Amid Price Surge
Argent Minerals is accelerating work on its Kempfield project in New South Wales after rising silver prices and demand created an opportunity to monetize the almost 64Mt resource.
The company's new CEO, Mike McKevitt, aims to unlock Kempfield's 65.8Moz silver resource for development by building a cash flow model and calculating the deposit's net present value (NPV).
Kempfield is Australia's second-largest undeveloped silver deposit, with a current Mineral Resource Estimate of 63.7Mt at 69.75g/t for 142.8Moz silver equivalent.
The project contains 65.8Moz silver, 125,000oz gold, 207,000t lead, and 420,000t zinc. McKevitt sees further polymetallic potential for Argent with the nearby Trunkey Creek gold project only 5km away.
