Argent LNG Eyes Albanian Terminal as Adriatic Gateway
Argent LNG is expanding its operations in the Adriatic region by partnering on a 5 million tons per year (Mt/y) liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Albania. This project could potentially provide another route for US supply into the Western Balkans.
The terminal aims to reach a capacity of 5 Mt/y, which is substantial compared to other LNG projects in the region. Feedgas demand in the area could reach as high as 3.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d).
Argent LNG's strategy involves developing a network of LNG terminals across Europe, providing an alternative to traditional pipelines like the Trans Adriatic Pipeline.
