Argentina Corn Exports Poised for Record as Ukraine Conflict and Brazilian Supply Constraints Take Hold

Argentina's corn exports are poised to reach a record high of 10 million metric tons in August and September, driven by a bumper harvest and strong international demand.

The country's 2025/26 harvest is estimated at 71.7 million tons, nearly 20% above the previous record set five years ago.

Demand from North African countries has been a primary driver of this growth, with shipments to the region rising 45% in the first seven months of 2026 compared to overall export growth of 15% during the same period.

Argentina's exports have taken advantage of Brazilian corn exports falling nearly 20% due to supply constraints, and Ukrainian corn exports being disrupted by war and drought.
