Argentina Corn Exports Reach New High on Record Crop
Argentina's corn exports set a new record in July, reaching 5.14 million metric tons according to the Rosario Grain Exchange. This is the highest monthly shipment total despite persistent rain and harvest delays.
The surge comes from an exceptionally large crop estimated at 70.5 million metric tons for the 2025/26 season, up from a previous forecast of 68 million. For U.S. agriculture, this milestone matters because additional Argentine supplies are reaching international buyers just as markets prepare for the Northern Hemisphere harvest.
The export strength comes even as wet conditions complicate logistics and slow fieldwork. Argentina's corn harvest was 89% complete, eight percentage points behind the five-year average.
