Argentina Corn Exports Soar to Record Levels Amid Global Price Surge

Argentina's corn exports have surged this year, thanks to a record harvest and higher global prices. Between January and August, shipments reached 33.8 million metric tons, nearly 10 million metric tons more than soybean complex exports over the same period.

According to data from Datamar, containerized corn exports rose 59.5% from last year. Domestic corn prices in Argentina increased by $20 per metric ton over the past month, while international prices hit their highest level in 20 months.

The export surge is evident at Greater Rosario ports, where 4,570 trucks arrived last Wednesday, with 2,337 carrying corn and 1,636 carrying soybeans. This represents a 26% increase from the previous week.
