Argentina Posts USD 2.115 Billion Trade Surplus in July
Argentina's foreign trade in goods showed a surplus in July 2026, according to the latest report from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). Exports totaled USD 8.854 billion, while imports reached USD 6.739 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 2.115 billion.
The total trade flow increased 6.7% year-on-year to USD 15.593 billion. Exports rose 14.1% compared to July 2025, driven by a 1.5% increase in volumes and a 12.4% rise in prices.
Among export categories, fuels and energy saw the strongest growth, surging 97.8% to USD 1.506 billion, driven by higher sales of crude oil, carburants, and lubricants. Manufactures of industrial origin increased 11.2%, while manufactures of agricultural origin rose 4.9%. Primary products fell 0.6%.
The top ten export products accounted for 58.4% of total exports, led by corn (USD 1.104 billion), crude oil (USD 1.020 billion), and soybean meal (USD 810 million).
