Argentina Shatters Corn Export Records in July
Argentina's corn export industry has hit new heights in July, shipping out a record 5.14 million tonnes of grain. This is the largest month for corn exports in Argentina's history, surpassing the previous record set in April with 5.08 million tonnes. The Rosario Board of Trade reported that this surge in exports marks a significant milestone for the country, which annually ranks third globally behind only the United States and Brazil.
The total corn shipments for the season so far (March to July) have reached 22.21 million tonnes, with the grains exchange also raising its estimate for Argentina's 2025-26 marketing year corn crop to 70.5 million tonnes, a 2.5 million tonne increase.
However, export logistics are being complicated by recurring rains that slowed grain drying and delayed fieldwork. The Argentine corn harvest is 89% complete, lagging the five-year average by 8 percentage points, with 11.6 million hectares yet to be harvested.
