Argentina's LNG Project Seeks RIGI Approval for $51 Billion Investment
Argentina's LNG project is seeking approval for its $51 billion investment under the country's Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI) program.
The project, led by YPF, Eni, and XRG, aims to develop an integrated liquefied natural gas production and export facility in Vaca Muerta, Neuquén.
It will involve the development of rich-gas production, dedicated transportation infrastructure, processing plants, liquids fractionation trains, and two floating liquefaction units (FLNGs) with a combined capacity of 12 million metric tons per year.
The FLNG units are scheduled to operate offshore Río Negro in the Gulf of San Matías between 2031 and for approximately two decades, generating around $10 billion in annual export revenues.
