Arizona Gas Prices Hit Record High This August

Gas prices in Arizona's Valley region have continued to rise, reaching $4.44 per gallon as of last Friday, according to AAA Arizona.

The increase of 2 cents per gallon over the past week is attributed to higher-than-normal crude oil prices, despite a decline in gasoline demand, said Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group.

This August has seen the highest national average gasoline price on record, with the national average currently at $4.07 per gallon.
