Arizona Gas Prices Surge to $4.49 Amid Elevated Crude Oil Costs
Gas prices have risen in Arizona and the Valley, reaching $4.49 per gallon according to AAA Arizona. This increase of 12 cents a gallon happened this week, with the national average remaining steady at $4.10.
The average price in Arizona increased by 11 cents a gallon, settling at $4.45 per gallon. Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, said 'August brings some relief at the pump as road trips wind down and fall routines get underway for many families.'
However, Vazquez also mentioned that 'elevated crude oil prices could prevent that seasonal shift from starting just yet'. This warning indicates that consumers may not see significant price drops in gas costs anytime soon.
