Arizona Metals Corp Leverages Copper and Gold Prices with Pivotal Kay Mine Project Assessment
Arizona Metals Corp (AMC), a Canadian-listed explorer and developer, has reached a pivotal moment in its flagship copper-gold-zinc-silver project in Arizona.
The company announced results of the preliminary economic assessment for the Kay Mine Project on April 30, 2026, which revealed that at conservative metal prices, the project is only marginally economic. However, at spot prices, it shows a substantial net present value of about US$445 million and an internal rate of return of about 14.9%.
According to the study, the project would produce about 127 million pounds of copper, 293 million pounds of zinc, 258,000 ounces of gold, and 4.7 million ounces of silver over a conceptual 10-year mine life.
The company's work combines extensive drilling, resource definition, and artificial-intelligence-driven targeting to test for expansion, making it an attractive name to watch in the current commodity environment.
