Armenia Faces Gas Shortage Amid Russian Pipeline Maintenance
Armenia is bracing for a temporary suspension of natural gas supplies due to planned maintenance on Gazprom's Russian pipelines. The halt, scheduled from September 15 to September 25, will significantly impact Armenia's energy inflow.
The country will supplement its energy needs by using domestic gas reserves and additional volumes imported from Iran during this period.
This measure is crucial given Armenia's heavy reliance on Russian gas, with 82% of its supply imported from Russia last year.
