Armenia's Natural Gas Imports Decline in 2025 as Russia and Iran Dominate Market

Armenia's natural gas imports decreased slightly in 2025, according to data from the RA Customs Service. The country imported a total of 2,706,771.9 cubic meters of natural gas, down 0.8% from the previous year. The customs value also declined by 0.5%, reaching $470 million.

Russia was Armenia's main supplier of natural gas, accounting for 82.4% of imports (down from 83.8% in 2024). Russia supplied 2,229,697.4 cubic meters of natural gas to Armenia, with a customs value of $389 million.

Iran was the second-largest supplier of natural gas to Armenia, providing 477,074.5 cubic meters (an 8.5% increase from the previous year). The customs value for Iranian imports increased by 8.6% to $80.8 million.
